OUR STORY
Hailing from Kansas, our spirited family is fueled by a zest for adventure and joy. In 2008, a family retreat brought us to the captivating beauty of Captiva, Florida's islands, where the ocean's allure replaced the flat landscapes of home. Fast forward three years, and our heartland spirit led us to own a magnificent home on Captiva, cherished both as a private haven and a treasured rental escape.
In 2018, a desire for tranquility prompted a new chapter. By 2019, our quest led us to Upper Captiva, where Gulf Swells & Sea Shells became our haven. Countless summers etched precious memories onto our children's hearts amidst these shores. The shared delight of collecting diverse seashells on the beach and the exhilaration of boating amidst captivating wildlife are moments cherished.
Our journey from heartland to island paradise continues, and we extend an invitation to experience the beauty and serenity of these shores alongside us.

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets on the property to ensure a comfortable environment for all guests.

How do I make a reservation?
You can easily make a reservation by visiting our "Book Now" page on our website. Simply select your preferred dates and follow the prompts.

What is the cancellation policy?
Our cancellation policy follows this outline:14 days prior to your stay will result in a 50% refund while 7 days prior to cancellation results in no refund.

Is Gulf Swells & Sea Shells family-friendly?
Absolutely! Our property is perfect for families, offering ample space, a range of entertainment options, and safe access to the beach.

Is the property wheelchair accessible?
Our property is not wheelchair accessible.

Are there grocery stores and restaurants nearby?
Although there are dining options in the vicinity, there are no grocery stores. Any essential items can be purchased at the local island convenience store. Do not worry though! Upon scheduling your stay with us, we will send you a grocery list that you can fill out and email to Tortuga. Grocery refills can be delivered next day Sunday-Friday on orders placed by 3pm!
